Pizza, Pasta and Steaks at Marciano’s: A Review
Marciano’s, a laid back Italian restaurant at SM Southmall Food Street finally opened its doors to food lovers.
So if you crave for pasta, pizza and steak but too tired of the usual fast food taste, give Marciano’s a try.

After our Seafood Island escapade, we transferred to next-door Marciano’s to witness its formal launch.
The launched was witnessed by fellow media partners, VIPs and members of the SumoSam Group of Restaurants.
Franchise owners of Marciano’s, Dondon and Marilyn Adao welcomed their guests and graciously answered to questions.

Now, the food. I was still full after eating so much in Marciano’s sister restaurant, Seafood Island so I had to go back to actually taste the food on their menu and get the ‘feel’ of a paying customer.
So last Sunday, my friends and I decided to drop by Marciano’s as we were craving for Italian food.
We started our feast with Tiffany Mozarella Sticks, huge cuts of mozarella sticks. It was very delicious, good enough for 3-4 persons.
What I like about Sumosam’s Group of Restaurants is that they all have group meals at very affordable prices. My friends and I chose “Title Bout” part of Marciano’s ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rumble” group meals for 4.

Frutti de Mare (P288 ala carte price) – Love greens, prawns and calamari? Then this salad is the perfect one for you. The crunchiness of the greens were perfect and the taste of calamari and prawns went well with the honey-lemon vinaigrette.

Woody Allen Linguine (P318 ala carte price) I am no fan of white pasta but I still gave this a try since it was included in the group meal. This dish has Shiitake mushrooms and prosciutto and well blended truffle cream sauce. It was served with huge sticks of garlic bread on the side.

Tenderloin with Sausage (P549 ala carte price) - This, I super duper love. We requested that they cook it medium rare and really, the steak they served was juicy and very tender — PERFECT! It wasn’t that salty and the side dishes complemented the dish well. The sausage was also well cooked.

Bryant Park Pizza (P338 – ala carte price) - Tired of the usual ham with oh-so-bitin cheese? Well you should try Marciano’s take on the ham and cheese: loads and loads of ham and REAL cheese.
(Not in the photo was the Times Square Fish and Chips)
Overall, my friends and I enjoyed our not-so-expensive Italian food experience. Marciano’s is a cross between Italian fastfood and high-end fine dining Italian restaurant, so it’s really not intimidating.

Good Italian food at very reasonable price: try Marciano’s.
