I came up with this! An 8x8x1.5 base and 6×4 top. Not bad huh?

It was also my first time to use the FMM funky tappits so imagine my fear that everything will not turn out right! But guess what? I did it and the client loved the cake so much

I searched online but found none so I have to make something inspired by the new Barbie movie. We came up with this:

Inspired by Barbie’s school uniform in Barbie Princess Charm School, we came up with a cool cake with Barbie’s vest on top.

For the cupcakes, we came up with the usual Barbie toppers, hand bag, shoes and hearts in various colors.

Love it? I do. These beautiful cupcakes earned a short feature in La Mode GV Miao’s facebook page! Soooo cool

Two nights ago, she showed signs of death. After baking for more than 12 hours, she lost heat. I let her rest for a few hours and used her again, she did well so hurray! But guess what? 24 hours later, she began emitting smoke while I was baking 3 cakes! Waaaaaaah! We had to adjust the thermostat every now so as not to burn our cakes.

Anyhoo, everything went well and here are the cakes we’ve made on that fateful day of November 6, 2011.

But one more thing that’s keeping me busy (well, aside from being awake all night, nursing my little one – Lana) is our bakehouse,  Project Happiness! We’re always busy especially during weekends but I make sure to pop a recipe or two in between orders, it’s keeps me sane and yes, human.

super duper fresh fish (I forgot the name), I can’t describe it’s freshness. We grilled it and cooked the rest into tinola (yes, di lang manok ang tinotola sa amin!)

We were in Cebu last June 1st and I grabbed that chance to try out the place and damn, the food (and the experience as well) was awesome

If you’re a grilled food lover, then you will surely love Larsian. It’s like a heaven of grilled street foods at very affordable prices

The prices, as I have said are quite cheap compared to most ihaw-ihaw stores here in Manila.

Some points to consider before going to Larsian BBQ:
- It’s a grilling place, so don’t expect that you will still smell good after eating there
- they don’t have spoon and fork, so prepare to eat by hand. They provide plastic to cover your hand and wash areas to clean after eating.
- they’ll be serving you puso (pus-o) in baskets, don’t worry you can return the excess pieces of pus-o hehe (true! pwedeng ibalik ang sobra!

Larsian BBQ is indeed a must try when you visit sugbo. Kaon ‘ta!

Fast forward 2011, I went back there again, this time with my family and my sister. The place is still how I imagined it to be – quiet and peaceful despite its near-highway location The place looks deserted because we got there on a weekday and on a non-peak hour, 4PM! I half expected their tapa recipe to have changed over the years but no, it’s still soft and yes, it still melts in my mouth It still gave me the nostalgic feeling of eating the tapa at home whenever there’s a free bingo going on.
